He also looks like he's either just farted, or smelled someone else's fart.

Additionally, did you do a lot of skin smoothing on her face? She looks very airbrushed.

I'm shooting a few corporate portraits on a black background.

My set up is a going to be a softbox camera left, a reflector camera right and a flash above/behind to give give the hair/shoulders some separation for the background. Should I be snooting that light or just zooming it to the max?

B&W photos of babies with their eyes closed always creep me out slightly. I'm never sure if the kid is sleeping or not :(

The face seems a little over exposed and the expression seems quite strained. I usually hate photographing kids as they always have that "photo smile" which is basically a toothy grimace. :(

Put the "weird" eye away from the camera, and use short lighting.

Most people with problems like that, though, know exactly how they look, and they're not going to blame the photographer for it. Fat people, on the other hand, have absolutely no idea how much they really weigh until they see a picture, and then it's all the photographers fault.
I did a few corporate headshots the other day and had a woman say "I've got a wonky left eye". I put that eye slightly further away from the camera, she came out looking pretty normal.

drat, I've been centre focus/re-composing for a few years now after reading it as a "handy tip" and have noticed that some of my images have been a bit soft. I put it down to hand shake etc.

I'm going to have to change my methods.

I shot a wedding on Saturday and they had a jazz band. The singer was taking a break between sets and was seated in this pose. I bounced a bit of flash off the wall to my left and was quite pleased with the way it turned out considering it wasn't much more than a snapshot:

Sorry to pile on, but she looks like she's really uncomfortable and is struggling to get away.

They're both very...porny. Her expressions are very sexually aggressive. Don't know if that was the intention but if it was, then these nail it (:v:) pretty well

They do kind of look like they're the first two photo of a set where she ends up naked and sweaty.

I've suddenly picked up a couple of jobs shooting babies. One will be 3 weeks old, the other around 10 months old.

Any tips so I don't completely gently caress things up? What the hell can you do with a baby so young?

Well that was a bit difficult. I was with the family for 2 hours and the baby cried 90% of the time I was there, didn't really get the shots we'd hoped for. The parents are friends of mine so, I'm going back again tomorrow to try again.

He calmed down towards the end of the session when I was packing up my lights and this is what he gave me.

Yep, we even stopped for another feed break after the first hour. The parents were really apologetic, but what can you do? Poor kid just wasn't into it.

My wife and her friend are both pretty keen runners/swimmers/yoga/pilates people and shop at a particular store a lot. The lady who runs the place asked them to be "brand ambassadors" as they're "real women and not models" so we did a photo shoot. I got paid, they get free clothes, so it was a good deal.

I usually shoot weddings and my cat and hadn't really done anything like this before, my wife and her friend have never modelled before and aside from slightly awkward posing I think it went ok. Please feel free to rip the photos apart.

Thanks people. My wife is the blonde and even though she's used to me shoving a camera in her face she felt a bit awkward modelling :)

The photos are for the store's website/facebook/instagram and I'm pretty sure they'll be happy with them.

As for the flirting, I have no comment. :ninja:

We intended to do some more action shots, but the store owner wanted the photos done on that particular day and we actually went to a park to do them.

Unfortunately we got there at 12PM and the sun was loving HARSH which is why re-located to the location we used for these photos :/

I'm working on a little project where I shoot a runner's portrait very shortly after they've finished a race/run. I organise a weekly 5K for about 300-400 people every Saturday so I've got a lot of subjects to choose from.

I photographed more sweaty people. I've been doing this almost weekly but don't always have my external lighting kit with me. This time all I had my EOS M which EVERYONE on this forum makes fun of, but I'm pretty happy with the results I get from it.

I don't ask anyone to smile, but they're usually laughing at me when I tell them why I want the photo.

Sold my 5D and 7D, got a Fuji XT1 and finally got back around to shooting people moments after they'd just finished running 5K.
