I love trying to take bird photos, because even though most of them will turn out completely terrible because those fuckers hate having their picture taken, when it comes together you just feel great.

This is probably my favourite shot, but I kind of regret the things I did in Photoshop in hindsight. I'll probably redo it when I feel like it.

This one I just like for some reason and it'll probably be my desktop for quite some time.

Am I stupid for thinking about getting a Sigma 120-400 for birds and wildlife? There doesn't seem to be that many reviews of it, and if the autofocus is stupid slow I might be better of looking at some Canon lens.

Anyway, here's some cheating zoo photos:

Wanted to try my new lens (70-300L) but it was windy as gently caress so not too many chances for photos. However:

It focuses fast and is pretty drat sharp :)

Man, I'd really like a three times longer and ten times more expensive lens :(

Anyway, I got sort of lucky today and saw like four different ospreys, though only one came close enough.

These are both awesome. I had no idea that Osprey's lived in Europe.

Ospreys apparently live pretty much everywhere except Antartica. Also they are seriously awesome birds in pretty much every way. The way they hover before catching a fish is mindblowing considering their size.

As it turns out, that little falcon is really, really fast and barely any of my shots where in any sort of focus.
