So what does everyone think about the Grammy Awards? Everyone's favorite pop star is nominated for no less than 5 awards. Including: record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, best dance recording, and best electronic/dance album. I have a feeling she's going to win most of those except maybe best dance recording. There's a few other really popular songs in that category Anyway, it should be a pretty exciting show. I'm gonna have to agree with everyone, the Gaga/Elton John opening act at the Grammy's was fantastic and I really hope the release an mp3 at some point. I was just watching the video, you can tell she's totally jazzed to be there. She's got a big stupid grin on her face through most of the duet.

I managed to get tickets to the San Jose show! After for a while I finally got a group of tickets and accidentally refreshed the page while I was paying and lost them. I managed to get them back a few minutes later though, but I nearly had a heart attack when I did that. It was terrible.

All the shows I've seen tickets for have had regular tickets for $50 & $85. I picked up a few for $85, but if you want tickets up in the front you're gonna definitely pay a bundle.

I thought I'd share this with you guys, 'cause why not. My fiancée had to MC a fashion show her sorority was putting on, and a couple of weeks before that while we're both drunk she says to me: "hey Action Man, could you make a telephone hat for me for the show?" "what, like the one in the video?" "yeah like that" "poo poo yeah! I can do that! " Not one to shirk on drunk promises I had to follow through, and this is what happened. I don't think it's too shabby for not knowing the first thing about making hats. Click here for the full 600x800 image.

realqueenbetty posted:That looks pretty good from a distance. The tape is a bit distracting if you look at it close up, but I love that you got a uniform color on it. I think Gaga would approve. Did you actually saw off parts of a rotary phone? Yeah, I took cannibalized two rotary phones and a hard hat. I couldn't figure out a good way to connect all the cardboard pieces and conceal the edges at the same time without tape. If she wants to wear it again for something else i'm considering finding something thick to coat the whole thing to conceal tape and repainting it. I'll post some in progress pictures later. It was a little bit of an engineering feat getting it all sit right. Serious props to whoever produced the original.

Ok, so it's not Bad Romance, but I don't think it's realistic to expect that. Yeah, it was hyped into oblivion, but I feel like we can give the woman a break at this point. Maybe there'll only be 1 or 2 number one singles on this album That being said I think it's a great track and I've been playing the hell out of it for the past two days due to its awesomeness. I'm not the least bit disappointed. It's a catchy dance track about being comfortable with yourself and it does a good job at being that. :bigtran:

Initially I wasn't impressed with 'Hair', but it's grown on me a bit. I usually skip Born this Way and Judas when I'm in the car unless its a long drive, just because I listened to them both a thousand times when they were released as singles. Government Hooker and Black Jesus are favorites, however marry the night and bloody Mary are really great too. Americano is fantastic and ridiculous. I'm going to go ahead and stop before I list all the songs. Basically the whole album is awesome.

Agreed. If she released an acoustic album side by side with regular ones I would buy the hell out of that. On a similar note () has anyone noticed that the piano parts in 'You and I' are very similar to 'no floods' from the red and blue album. It's most noticeable right at the beginning. It was nice to see a nod to the old Stefani Germanotta stuff in there.

So I've been tossing this around in my head for a couple days now and I really can't decide what I think they're gonna play. I agree that she would totally slay 'Life on Mars?' and I'm not 100% sure that won't make it in, but I'm not holding my breath. Most of his really famous songs (at least the one's that got well known in the US) I'm not sure would sound right from anyone but Bowie, and most of his songs that I think Gaga would perform really well aren't well known enough to make it into a big award show like the Grammy's I really want to hear her do 'Starman' and 'Heroes' and and... I really want them to just cancel the whole show and it can just be 2 hours of Bowie instead. Real talk though, I think a cool way to kick it off would a shortened version of Blackstar where it starts with the studio vocals and then Gaga fades in partway through the track.

The CBS all access nonsense is only available in some cities (because that's how the Internet works?) you can watch a Sream on http://live.grammy.com/ but the second the show started they cut away and its all just interviews outside, or shots of the audience. Its intense intense horse poo poo.
