And that's more or less what was trying to say in my last post.

Again, my apologies if that wasn't you in the other thread - my memory is usually very good when it comes to these sorts of things, but I must be on crack today.

I'm an attractive and successful Crackhead-American and I resent your marginalizing and discriminating against us just to excuse your conversational lapse of judgement. People tell me that I'm the "soberest" crackhead they know; I know they mean it as a compliment but it still hurts... it still hurts. Please try to be more sensitive.

That venue shouldn't have had the lasers aimed low enough to fry people's eyeballs.

I'm thinking of switching to carbon fiber because the lens hood on my 24-70 is too heavy and isn't stiff enough.

Every gram counts. Once could borrow a trick from the world of ultralight backpacking and drill holes in the hood to save even more weight. :downsrim:

Yeah, I wondered if it was someone's idea of a sight gag or something. Looked almost like he was wearing a tux, too.
I'll bet he was a game photographer's assistant or something really though.

I was going to keep mine at my dad's house but I found a used Sentry fireproof 2-drawer file cabinet at a building surplus store. Retail is $400-500; I paid $40 and need to get a key from the manufacturer. Now my apartment can burn down for all I care, my poo poo's safe and sound JUST KIDDING, GOD.

I just bought a 2tb HDD to back up all my poo poo at a 2nd location. Feels like a weight off my shoulders. Back up your photos people. It feels awesome.

A work D300, its battery grip, and the 17-35 2.8 smell like baby shampoo now. I shot the musical Evil Dead in a small studio theater, and there was fake blood everywhere. They said they go through about a gallon a night.

It was pretty funny.

I know virtually everyone loves to rail on retouching but that's the nature of the industry. One guy putting down his wacom isn't going to do anything.

It's a tremendously difficult skill and I have respect for any professional retoucher.

It can definitely be taken too far sometimes but what images are truthful?
