alas, cat thread associates, i have some sad news to share. my friend who has been taking care of jackson and magda for me in the ten years since my brainwreck regretfully informed me that magda in her old age recently passed due to kidney failure. she was about 15 or 16 years old, so it's not a shock that she's shuffled off this mortal coil, but sad nonetheless. this, however, was the last picture he was able to take of her, with jackson alongside, and i am both sad and happy to be sharing it with you, since many of you cat thread participants loved her nearly as much as i did:  pour one out for the ol girl for me, will ya?

i can say with confidence magda was the softest, cutest cat ever fond memories of being woken up by her on an air mattress on rel_q's floor, stepping so carefully and meeping so quietly until i was up then it was time for cuddles. one of the best mornings ever rip magda kitty, one of the best to to ever do it
