I found out the cat of my mother died. He was named Staartjager, or Staart (Tailchaser, after the novel of Tad Williams). My mother and I had a falling out and we haven't spoken to each other for a year. The last time I was at her place was almost one and a half year year ago. I was with her when we got that cat, he broke out of the cardboard box we had from him. Thankfully he was staring through the windows instead of panicking in the car. He was a big doofus, sometimes a bit bitey but very in the moods of hugs most of the time. He was the youngest cat and I was the youngest child, that created a bond. Sometimes I would pick him up and he would nuzzle in my hair and drool a lot. He would lay on my lap when I was watching cycling on TV. He did catch birds and other prey when he was young, but he mellowed out when he got older and turned into the biggest softy. He was a great cat, he had a great 15-16 years, but I'm sad I never got to say goodbye. I'll try to find some pictures, he was a great orange cat.

Hello everybody! I heard you like orange boys, so after years of lurking I'm finally posting my cats.   This is Joris. He likes being a handsome cat, finding warm places and occasionally, being a strawberry. He tries to be the normal one in our house and fails often at it.    And this weird little dude is Nelis. Some of his bones have not grown correctly so he he is weirdly shaped. Despite that he is one the most carefree, happy-go-lucky cats I've ever known. He likes pets, playing and chasing his brother.   They are brothers. Sometimes they cuddle, sometimes they fight. I have six years of backlog to post, so expect more in the future!   brothers in blep Also go Chase!

Every time we would turn the heat up Joris and Nelis would climb up on the radiators and lie there. It was clearly uncomfortable, but the warmth would not be denied. My girlfriend created a solution: The Gutter.   It's a wooden frame custom made for the radiator upholstered with some soft fabric. It was an instant hit:   Especially Joris can absolutely melt in the Gutter. Of course, sometimes they both want to lay in the gutter. Some times this results in fights, but other times compromises are made:     But there are moments when you just need the direct warmth:
