I went to bed early last night, or I tried to, but then my roommate woke me up holding the world's tiniest kitten. Apparently the little baby was crying outside her bedroom window, she went to investigate, and found a 0.7 lb, four and a half week old, kitten abandoned by its mother. Meet Luna

We have three other cats that we can't risk getting sick. As long as baby Luna doesn't have FIV or FELV, she'll be safe to keep. We're relying on our vet for guidance as she gains some weight. Rowdy had cancer in 2020, and had a lump removed from his neck. He wants to meet the baby SO BADLY.  River is an old girl and seems to not care one way or another about a kitten being in the house.  Samus, the youngest of our previous cats is a bit jealous, and not happy that there's a competitor for her attention.  Luna, on the other hand, is a brave little girl that loves her toy mouse.  I had therapy today, and spent the entire session sitting on the floor of the bathroom while little Luna slept in my lap.    she's purrfect and i love her We haven't seen any sign of the mother, or other babies her age. It's impossible to get these two to sit still long enough for a good picture. Luna gets close to Rowdy and just starts purr purr purring. And then Rowdy gives her a face cleaning.
