My German-born spouse is now a US citizen, but is constantly paranoid about bringing up the fact in conversation. In Aruba, some Dutch people jokingly mentioned how he bombed the poo poo out of their country, but it wasn't anything more than a joke. Does this happen alot? Did anyone in the states give you grief about being German?
