I... like the magic realism arcs? A lot? One of my favorite parts of the strip? I like that we've had a few lately? I like the extended storylines whose content per strip made up for their sporadic posts? I like that it still manages a roughly 3-days-of-the-week update schedule even if regularity has become an issue (at least I have MSPaint Adventures for regularity)?

Maybe I'm just weird.

I started from the beginning and kept clicking for a solid weekend or so, only stopping when suddenly the "next strip" button wasn't clickable anymore. That was "Keith Moon's Alive Head" as I recall.

Man, the memories...

Does anyone else get a 'this could be the end of Achewood' vibe from this arc? I really can't see how we can go back to light-hearted strips about baby otters or cat bros after this. I'm also slightly concerned that Onstad may be in the midst of a nervous breakdown.

Hey, we've had Nice Pete nightmare arcs before (like the one about the secret ice cream shop). Just because we're deep in the mouth of madness doesn't mean we can't just hop right back to the usual light-hearted japery after this is done.

This is the best birthday present.

The swimming pool full of lil' paddlin' chinchilla puppies is unsettlingly cute, just the thing to lighten the mood a bit.

I love David Lynch. I love Achewood. I love David Lynch guest starring in Achewood.

"Moaning bucket of tar." That is all.
