For me it's the entirety of this one.

Although it is only now, after about seven years, that I realise the sound effect in the comic is "scuffle" and not "scuttle". The alt text deceives!

Lyle's penmanship is impressive considering how bad his spelling is in the blogs.

Maybe he dictated the note to Cornelius.

Man it's like you didn't even read the alt-text. Shameful.

Not precisely a funny panel, but courtesy of H.P. Hovercraft in the YOSPOS pics thread:

And here's one from the High School arc. It's coming up to three years since that started :negative:

I have absolutely no memory of reading that strip first time round.

I think it's supposed to be a play on Circus Circus, a famous Las Vegas hotel and casino.

His name is largely a reference to the penis, a male organ that plays a large role in many, but by no means all, pornographic films.

Also, the Bensington Butters arc is amazing. What the hell is this "Syndicate" that Ray's involved with?

Grey panels are Teodor's imagination. He's now terrified of a different thing than "showing filth room to woman" - he is now terrified of "showing Cornelius-style old-man room to woman". This is because Teodor constantly undermines himself through crippling self-doubt, and is constantly terrified.

What you've done here is quoted Achewood. However, the quote doesn't really make sense in the context of the conversation in this thread.

So wait... is this the guy who did the comic with the cyberpunk chick and her friends with super power and it was kinda cool, then updates slowed and it turned into slowly fighting giant world ending things then slow down more and turn into lots of rear end shots with exposition?

That's Chris Onstad, yes.

I'm actually kinda sad that Achewood had this little foot-kicking-in-its-coma spurt even if we got some OK comics out of it. I was resigned to it never updating again and now I've got to go through that all over again :saddowns:

A helpful goon supplied me with all the alt-texts in a big file, now I just have to figure out what's the most sensible way to associate them with their respective strips. I mean, you could just make a text file next to each image with its alt-text but that seems clunky.

Any ideas?

Maybe you could have the text pop up if you hover your mouse over the image? That seems the most sensible approach to me.

Yeah, like early on, Ray and Pat's personalities weren't really very distinct. Then these strips happened and they set them on the course to the characters we know today. Pat's probably the character that changed the most from conception to today. He seems kinda like a beatnik in his earliest appearances.
