Seems that's the direction they're going. But who knows, it's not like this comic hasn't given a last page or two shocker that is immediately resolved a month later about 151 times.

That was a great issue. I'm pretty sure I'd be one hundred percent fine with another Prison like culling and the next hundred issues are Negan and Carl roaming the land.
