I had a cockatoo fly right across me while I was riding up in the hills one day. Hit me on the shoulder, the worst bit was the white dust which came out of the bird and was actually difficult to get off my jacket.

I'd put it out of it's misery too. I wouldn't want to be slowly dying on the side of the road, why should the animal?
