I was asleep in the back of my parents car when the transfer case exploded at 90mph. Was scary as hell. Big loud bang and two blue flashes, then the sound of metal grinding constantly until we stopped. Range Rovers use BMW made housings (iirc) and a batch were defective... was all fixed under warranty.
