Rads really get dangerous when the cap does not vent properly...

If that was an accident, did the driver / passengers survive?

im pretty sure the guy who owned the truck posted those pictures so at least he lived but ive been wrong before

Given the uprated multi-shock system, it looks like someone got a bit too excited running through the dunes. What is this? GM? Toyota? It really makes me want to replace the bad drivers side front wheel bearing on my hilux all of a sudden.
its a GM i believe half ton

you can see the dents in the upper arm drop bracket that indicate he was super bottoming out on landings and probably cracked the spindle which then came flying off later

bad bearings are scary but more so on the 2wd trucks because they will just fall out of the spindle - on the 4x4 they have those nice huge axles to hold them in

let me find pics of a 2wd failure

edit:
still looking for the 2wd but found

axle shaft

and another broken spindle

This thread is under so much pressure it feels like it is going to begin combustion at any second.

Airplane failures make this thread. As grim as it is, I think crash investigations use some of the best science and engineering and minds.

Noncrashed plane failures are cool to look at too because they are so epic.

Found the 2wd hub pics.

Again, the 2wd front hubs are not meant for big tires or abuse and they have no axles to keep them from falling out.

The fix? Full floating hub kits. For only $2300 a pair!

It has been years of smooth sailing but it finally happened, catastrophic 4l60e failure on the dyno.
The tranny was homebuilt (servo/shiftkit) by a college kid with no experience and it was a bagged truck so the shaft could very well have been damaged, not sure which one let go first but with a .6" lift cam and 3600 stall on a stock trans there's a lot of power and this vehicle has definitely been abused for years as it has been passed around the truck guys around here.

THE TABLES ARE THE REAL MECHANICAL FAILURE HERE
