There are 1200 failures listed on V8SHO.com, and the list hasn't been updated in a year+. Who knows how many went unreported to that site. There were 21,537 SHO's made from the 96-99 model years. Engines blew from anywhere between 20,000 miles to 170,000. *And for shits and giggles, Ford sold 68,650 2011my mustangs, could you imagine a few thousand owners with blown motors, multiplied by a few years?*
