Anybody have any tips for getting the best possible quality when uploading original music to YouTube (with still frames for video)?

I keep my music in high quality .wav format when adding it to my video editing program and I render the video in high quality SD format using the highest quality audio export settings. I don't think audio quality is affected if you upload the video in HD or SD to youtube, but I know youtube uses it's own compression technology and I'm not quite sure what effect it has on the audio.

What software do I need to produce sounds from my Rock Band 3 midi keyboard? I can't believe I have to ask this question because I am familiar with MIDI, e-drums, VST's (I use Addictive Drums), but can't figure this out.

Do I need a sequencer? What is a good software package to produce the sounds? I want typical synthesizer/keyboard sounds for pop song covers (think Katy Perry / Kesha type stuff).

I was recruited to play keys and synths for a 80s and 90s rock cover band. What do other keyboardists here do on songs that have no native keys? Do you sit those songs out, copy the bass line, do something else? Would really like to do something even if it's basic for the 50% of the set list made up of 90s alternative rock that has nothing going on in it for keyboard. What does your band do?
