VEGA - No Reasons has a great retro 80s feel to it and if Whitest Boy Alive - Golden Cage (Fred Falke Remix) doesn't give you chills you're not playing it loud enough.

So what's coming in 2010? MGMT have a new album coming in Spring, Miami Horror are releasing their first album sometime soon, a new PNAU album will continue the tradition of never leaving Australian shores. We've also seen a teaser for Midnight Juggernauts which sort of sucked.

He really isn't joking, it's very Shooting Stars-ish. Pretty much impossible to listen to it and not come out of it with a smile.

Some kind of artsy electro movie i guess?? gently caress I hate retarded cryptic mystery bullshit. Discodust thinks its a concept album, Van She Tech and Fred Falke are apparently connected so we'll probably get some good tunes out of it at least.

Can't believe this slipped past me, but PNAU's new album is apparently called 'Soft Universe'. Here's a preview of 'The Truth':

And the Sam La More remix preview, which has a bit more substance: http://soundcloud.com/samlamore/pnau-the-truth-sam-la-more-remix-preview

They've got a spot booked for BDO 2011, so I'm willing to bet the album comes out between now and then.

So Ultra sold out before I could buy my tickets. Am I going to have any luck scalping or is it all going to be 300% markup bullshit?

You might be less hosed than normal, because this year the rumor seems to be "wristband" since its 3 days. So people aren't going to be able to sell 3 individual tickets.

What do you mean? They'll give out wristbands instead of tickets?

Can anyone recommend some decent or their favourite minimal techno producers?

Nathan Fake, Trentemoller, Lusine.

My personal favourite track is this song by Moderat. It's a collaboration between Apparat and Modeselektor, so if you like it check those guys out too.

hahaha this sounds like the most generic forgettable poo poo, i don't think it even qualifies as electro. Their other single wasn't much better than this either. Shame too, I saw them live in 2008 at collie after they'd released their (very very good) last album and it was the best time I've had at a big festival. Dudes put on a good show

Riton was there too, apparently he's the only one that didn't fall through the roof and is uninjured.

Minimal listeners: Gui Boratto's just released his third album, appropriately enough called 'III'. It's pretty great:

What is the consensus in this thread about minimal electronic music? I hardly see it mentioned in this thread, maybe it is located else where?

House-y minimal (Gui Boratto, Moderat) is popular when it comes up but it tends to get drowned out because it's pretty niche.
