I use the TuneIn app and switch between Worldwide FM, NTS 1 & 2, and Rinse. I mostly find great music, no idea if it's new it's just great.

Also, there's a lot of jazz and world music in these stations (except Rinse) so if you're looking to have some cool background music while cooking/reading/whatever it also works great.

I was just coming in here to ask for such a recommendation.

With Covid I am working from home, in a condo, and am getting noise a cancelling headset because my mixing cans aren't sealing against ambient sounds as well as I would like. I have been using various streams of synthwave off Youtube for general background music while I work and was looking for recommendations for such. Ideally instrumental only.

I know lots of folks use classical and jazz for this as well but as a musician I tend to find those too distracting and close to what I play. Synthwave is removed far enough I can just zone out to it.
