Hah I'd like to know who the 19 year old producer from Charlotte is that surprised Aoki. Only dude here that I know of that has sent Aoki stuff that Aoki plays out is 31 years old and has his tracks ghostwritten.

I'm going to have to go with no. It was free and a 5 minute drive for me and I still didn't think it was really worth it. I guess if you're into Deadmau5 or similar DJs like that then it might be more worth it.

Just over an hour of nu-disco and electrohouse. realdude mix. Hope someone enjoys because I had a hell of a time making it.

Just listened to this mix and it was really awful. Your flow is awkward, mixing is non-existant, and your track selection would impress only the most entry level of listeners. Would not recommend this as a 'realdude' mix to anyone.

hey ya i totally agree with you, this was recorded live and not made from software and listening to it again has made me realize this, the party didn't seem to notice or care though i guess.

sorry but unless you were candyflipping while djing and playing from the wrong crate i'm not going to waste my time listening to one of your "actual skills applied" mixes

all I do is fakepost in phiz so you probably shouldn't take anything I say in there seriously.

fakeposting or not your mixes are atrocious, in your electrosential mix your first track goes on for 5 1/2 minutes and runs out into the intro of your second track

fact is you're clueless. you put up these mixes thinking they were hot poo poo when you cant even get the djing part down right. people call you out on it and then you make up poo poo excuses instead of just saying "thanks for the feedback, im still learning" which is actually respectable

seconding this recommendation, josh is definitely an up and coming producer. did a gig swap with him a couple months ago and he was on point as a dj too. his other side project with adulture called le principle is putting out some good disco house type tracks as well

Any minimal electro fans in here? I just moved back to the United States after living in Berlin and I am absolutely horrified how popular dubstep is here. I have been spoiled by the Berlin minimal scene. Are there any cities and/or artists in the US that do it justice?

You just came from Berlin, the capital of minimal. No city in the US is even going to come close. Best bet would be somewhere like SF, where house/tech house is big.

deadmau5 has his place as an entry level act for people to get into EDM, and as long as the fans eventually dig deeper then i'm all good with it.

speaking of 'superstar' djs, armin van buuren has his own wii game out now complete with fist pumping and jesus posing

Also have you guys caught up to Porter Robinson yet? He's from my neck of the woods and is basically taking over beatport right now. Only 18 years old.

Do you live in Charlotte? I live there and went to the show as well. I personally think Skrillex is garbage as a DJ (he plays off a premade ableton set) and I'm not fond of his productions but at least there was a good crowd. There are some good shows that happen from time to time and I DJ here in town quite a bit. You should PM me if you live in Charlotte or come here often, I can get you guestlisted to pretty much any shows that go on here.

According to Louis Puig (owner of Club Space in Miami and other superclubs along 11st street) UMF added exclusivity contracts for 2011 thereby prohibiting UMF artists from performing at clubs during the UMF weekend. This is a huge deal, since a large portion of WMC goers go for the club nights and not necessarily for Ultra. Right now a lot of the big clubs in Miami are telling people the 'real' parties are going to be during March 8-12th, but unfortunately a lot of artists are going to have scheduling conflicts since they normally expect WMC at the end of March but are already booked elsewhere in the beginning of March. I've been going to WMC for the past 6 years, and this next one is not looking too good with what looks to be a split in when promoters/labels are going to be throwing their parties as they now have to decide whether to do it at the beginning of March or at the end of March.

It doesn't say on the main page, but this also has Duck Sauce (A-Trak and Armand) and Calvin Harris. More "mainstream" electro in general, but it should be really fun and it only cost me $45.

You do realize that there are about a 100 different parties going on next week/weekend due to Ultra right? It would be a crime to only go that party you mentioned when there's so much more going on, especially some free parties.

Here's a decent site tracking almost all of them by day:
