Are there anymore documentaries on DJs like the Justice documentary? I saw the Soulwax/2ManyDjs one and that was alright.

I know there is a recommendation thread but I'm hoping this place would be a better place to ask.

I really like songs like :

Daft Punk - Aerodynamic Beats / Gabrielle, Forget About the World
Justice - Planisphere (Part 1 and 2)
DatA - Blood Theme

As well as Genesis and Stress from Justice. It's hard for me to describe why I like them but the songs have a "mood" to them that I really like. It feels dark and gritty. If I were to describe the feeling, pretend you're driving a really nice luxury car really fast at night with neon lights all around you. v:shobon:v Any recommendations?

I'm going to be throwing a non-DJ/dance event for a friend's bday soon, it's a smashing event where we take old TV and monitors and smash them for fun :woop:. I need some aggressive electro music that pumps people the gently caress up to smash poo poo. Any recommendations?

So far I've got :

Justice - Stress
The Rogue Element - Escalation
Bloody Beetroots - Anacletus
Bloody Beetroots - Ill to Destroy

I need more :\

I heard they couldn't get the proper licensing from the city so they're shutting it down at 2am

This is false.

LA has a new noise ordinance that states that loud music can not be played from 2AM to 5AM.

quote:

41.42 LAMC-Music Reproducing Devices

* Every owner or operator of any public resort;
* Where phonograph, loud speaker, or any other device for the reproduction of sound is played for hire;
* Shall not allow the playing of such device;
* Between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5: 00 a.m.

In my search to find music to workout too I found that I really like listening to progressive house. Particularly one of Deadmau5's older work: Faxing Berlin.

I found some other Deadmau5 songs that works for my workouts but I'm hoping to find songs from other artists as well. Any recommendations?

I'm looking for a weekly (or at least somewhat current) podcast that plays new/awesome interesting electronic/house music. I'm a big fan of the songs in this thread but I especially love the Ed Banger guys, Simian Mobile, Flume, Danger, etc. Anything like that exist out there?

I'm having difficulty finding electronic podcast that don't sound like the Tiesto/Avicii ones.
