Oh god. That cage match was probably the worst match I've ever seen. It was worse than Nowitski/Gayda vs. Bradshaw/Trish. It was worse than any reverse battle royale that TNA has ever had. It was worse than Giant Gonzalez vs. Undertaker.

Dr. Death CHECKS the door to see if it will open by swinging it wide open, then he walks all the way to the other side of the ring to throw Jerry Only through the ring. The camera work is absolutely hideous, as is the announcing. Nobody is excited about the finish of the match at all, much less a non-wrestling celebrity beating Steve Williams.

I'm pretty sure it's widely regarded as the very worst high-profile PPV of all time.

I don't know.

Great American Bash '04, '05, and 06 were all pretty horrible.

Watch some of his matches early on, and you can see why WCW would see potential in Goldberg.

He just kinda never really moved on to a veteran stage, and stayed fairly green until the end of his career.

Also, isn't everyone hand-fed their opponents? Is Bret suggesting that he actually had to out-wrestle people until they tapped to the sharpshooter in a real fight?

No, he's saying that, in storyline, Goldberg was given easy opponents so he could keep up the streak.

Didn't he beat Jerry Lynn like, 20 times in the streak?
