Help! I'm a Christian student drowning in debt, please buy my 2008, 6000 miles R6 for what I owe to the bank: $12,000. God bless. http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/mcy/1693755730.html Click here for the full 930x599 image. Lord Master fucked around with this message at 23:33 on Apr 15, 2010 |

Gnomad posted:Yamaha credit was offering a sweet deal. Any bike for $69 a month for the first 2 years. 22.9% interest. Small disclaimer 'paying the minimum will not reduce the principal" no kidding! I ran the numbers on an FZ6 and at the end of those 2 years I'd owe close to a grand more than the original cost. That $69 a month wouldn't cover the interest on an R6. That's brutal.

Hmm.. I've been thinking lately. Screw this beginner bike <55 horespower stuff. What I really want in life is a jet-turbine powered bike that shoots fire and runs on airplane fuel. My budget is less than $20,000. CA, any help? http://i48.tinypic.com/90wx74.jpg

I sent the XT guy an email. So excited BlueBayou posted:omg give me a reason not to buy this bike.... or to buy it The only reason you might not want to buy that bike is if someone already bought it.

Gah the guy sold the XT500.BlueBayou posted:How much should I be worried? I don't plan to ride on the highway, so I guess I should buy a battery charger? I'm not really an expert either, but the head leak would concern me. If you do buy it, you want to clean that carb ASAP because who knows how long that bike has been sitting. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hdo/mcy/2039452522.html I emailed the guy, this was his response: quote:it needs a new brake pedal, right handle bar is bent, some scratches/ scuffs, engine sounds fine, bike has been sitting for a few months and I jump started it earlier today. I'm charging the battery tonight to see if it holds. Sounds like it's been dropped on the right and needs a good carb cleaning. I could get handlebars and the little stuff fixed up for pretty cheap. Would this be a good deal on a small fixer-upper to use for 6 months before upgrading to something bigger?

hayden. posted:If there's no rust and it starts up quickly from a cold engine then yes. Parts can be surprisingly expensive and add up fast, but I would guess you could make it in good operable condition for a few hundred bucks. Carb cleanings aren't too bad and are a good thing to experience at least once. He updated http://tampa.craigslist.org/hdo/mcy/2039991191.html The fairing doesn't bother since I would probably convert it to nekked, and the small stuff I listed is no problem either, but the "small oil leak" is a sign of big trouble, no? I think the general CA advice was leak = run? Also looks like the clutch cable is wrapped in tape or is that a lovely picture of the metal wrap?
