It's definitely not a 'good' ad, but... I can't stop laughing, it fits so many BMW rider stereotypes...

$19,632 + (BMW shop rate) labor and tax 'invested'.
378 miles.
Now yours for the low, low price of $17,500.

2010 BMW F800GS Dual Sport Motorcycle, Near New, Can U Say Farkle!!! - $17500 (Boulder)

Hello all. So, I'm selling this beauty for my buddy. He got this bike to replace his 1200GS Adventure, loved it and then decided he likes riding pedal bikes more... go figure. It is a 2010 model in Alpine White.

Here we go. This bike has 378 miles. That is not a typo, it is not even broken in yet!! Needles to say this bike is cherry with no issues at all. I rode pretty much all these miles with my buddy and the bike saw some dirt roads and that's about it. All the farkles listed below were put on new at the dealer by factory techs when he took delivery. I have a clear title in hand and it is ready to be transferred over to the new owner.

Bike is located in Boulder, CO and I will help out with a fly & ride or with any out of state shipping. Let me know what you need!!

Asking price is $17,500. May seem high at first glance, but see below for details. Please note that there was extra labor costs from the dealer, as well as sales tax that I am not listing.

Some highlights include Ohlins rear shock & front springs, Adventure Cases, Leo Vince Exhaust, PIAA front lights, Touratech parts all over, you get the idea. Bike will come with extra key, all paper work and manuals.

Original sale price: $13,500. ABS, heated grips, Clear Turn Signals, Center Stand, On Board Computer. Has a OEM low saddle on now.

- Ohlins Rear Shock: $875

- Ohlins Front Fork Springs: $135

- Leo Vince Slip-On Exhaust: $380

- BMW Skid Plate: $270

- BMW Hand Guards w/Large Spoiler: $210

- BMW Touring Windscreen: $460

- BMW Adventure Cases, Mounts & Locks that have been keyed to Ignition Key: $1800

- Touratech Crash Bars w/Upper Extensions: $650

- Touratech Folding Shifter Lever: $52

- Touratech Folding Brake Lever: $96

- Touratech 15t Front Sprocket: $27

- Touratech Side Stand Enlarger: $30

- Touratech Front Mud Guard Riser Kit: $150

- Touratech Aluminum Rear Rack: $86

- Metzler Karoo 2 Tires, F& R: $296

- PIAA 510 Front Lights, Light Bar & CanBus Helper: $485

- Fastway Foots Pegs: $130

So, the parts total came to: $6,132.

2004 GasGas Supermotard 50 street legal - $3500
(bought new off the showroom floor Dec 24th 2008)

Click here for the full 640x480 image.

This is a 250cc chassis with a 49.6cc screamer of an engine with a 6-speed tranny, hydraulic clutch, suicide stand, inverted forks, digital instrumentation, liquid cooling, oil injection and much more. Spanish built and built better than most of the bikes I've owned. Really an impressive unit. Bought it to use at the horse shows, but the horses are afraid of it, too loud.

Less than 300 miles!

Only issue is the seal around the oil level sending unit at the bottom of the down tube on the frame is weeping from sitting dry for 5 years before purchase.

Believed to be 1 of less than 10 in the states although a rep at GasGas USA in KC said they never brought ANY in! Could be the only one here. Very popular, coveted and modified in Europe.

2006 Scorpa SY250 Trials, uses a Yamaha 2 stroke 250 engine - $3,800

Click here for the full 640x480 image.

Runs, rides and handles like a dream. Plenty of scratches like any trials bike. Decent tires, can be plated, that's right it has a tail/brake light and if you so desire Scorpa sells a long ride kit. Headlight included in sale as well as an extra air filter (new). Only defect is the throttle body has a crack and missing bit about 3/4 of an inch in the cover where the 2 cables articulate. It has been this way for more than a year and I have been riding it as such (taped up to keep the dirt/dust out) and competed and medalled with it this way. It doesn't affect the performance at all. Also comes with a spare tank that I stupidly cracked (and have since "repaired") on a -5 degree January day!

Has won gold and silver medals in the RMTA with me on it. ready for you to do the same.

I love this one and will miss it most. Wish I could take it on the road with me.

Call with any questions and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. I hate to have to sell all these but there's no point in them sitting for another year unridden. Now I have to go to Dropzone.com and sell my parachute gear.

Someone tell me if this is a good deal:

Nothing to see here, move along.

Jendywo paid $250 for her XS400 Maxim. $881 all told, once you factored in tires, battery, having the carbs cleaned and a miscellaneous tuneup done, title search, title bond, registration, etc.

The NADA printout she has from April 25, 2008 values the motorcycle as:
Excellent condition: $1100
Very Good condition: $725
Good Condition: $400
Fair Condition: $175

That bike, in good condition, lists for $525,

She got a good deal. You will not.

If that thing has been in storage for 25 years, it's *not* in excellent condition.

NADA Condition Guides posted:

Excellent — A very correct and original (even if it shows the patina of its age) or an exceptionally well-restored motorcycle. This category is reserved for concours or show quality machines only, in which everything on the machine is fully functional and operates as new. All equipment is original, new old stock (NOS) factory replacements or uses of excellent quality reproductions parts.
*That* is worth $1400 book value.

I'd offer *no more* than $525 for it, and expect to put that much again into it, just to get it safe to ride.

NADA Condition Guides posted:

Good — A machine in nice condition for its age that may need some minor mechanical attention and cosmetic rejuvenation to be a “good rider”. Bikes in this category generally look used but are still usable, whether it is for dirt or street use. Frames should be straight and unaltered.
*The replacement of tires, tubes, brakes, chain, sprockets, air filters and other minor parts should be anticipated.

Of course, you'll get laughed at. Not that that's a bad thing - there are *WAY* better bikes you can buy if you've got $1800 burning a hole in your pocket.

I know there'd be at least a grand in carb rebuild kits, fluids, and tires before it would so much as turn a wheel, and that for around 3-4k I could totally have a nicely running CBX already to go. But goddamn if I don't want it. :(
