Ok this is driving me nuts because the track is stuck in my head and I can't remember who it was by or what it was called - I found the link here originally for a video for a Japanese band's animated video that was about two composers dueilling or something, it was incredibly badly drawnbut with a weirdly high set of production values and the whole thing was insane from start to finish. Key points were: 1) Metronomes. Lots of metronomes were in it. 2) At the end the main composer guy flips out after losing the contest and goes to a foreign country to teach children how to be classical music composers using metronomes (see above) 3) His rival was a super huge guy in a purple vest. 4) It might have been called "number one" but I'll be damned if I can find it under that name. Edit: 5) The same band/duo had a video (also animated) where one grew a baseball bat out of the crotch of his trousers. I am not making any of this up.
