Early settlement

The town of Hill Valley is depicted as having been first settled in 1850 and incorporated in 1865. By the 1880s, it was connected by railroad to San Francisco. Construction of a new county courthouse was well underway in 1885, the setting of Back to the Future Part III, in which a new clock was dedicated for the building. The Shonash Ravine Bridge was completed in the summer of 1886, around the same time the ravine was renamed Clayton Ravine in memory of Clara Clayton, a school teacher who died from falling into the chasm. However, in a revised timeline where Doc Brown saved Clara's life, the town renamed it Eastwood Ravine after Marty McFly's persona when it is believed that "Eastwood" fell into the ravine while trying to stop some train hijackers (who are really Marty and Doc).

Variations

The variation A/S/L/P or ASLP is short for "Age, Sex, Location, and Picture".[1][2]
The variation NASL is short for "Name, Age, Sex, Location".[3]
ASLR is short for "age, sex, location, race". ASLRP is short for "age, sex, location, race, picture".[4]
A/S is short for "Age/Sex". A/S/L/M/H is short for "Age, sex, location, music, hobbies".[4][5]

Criticism

The fact that users often seek A/S/L information in "initial interactions" implies an "emphasis on the physical body online". 52% of the MOO character descriptions referenced age, sex, location, or physical appearance.[6]

Usage of vuvuzela in art music is limited. One of the few compositions made for it is a baroque-style double concerto in C major for vuvuzela, organ (or harpsichord) and string orchestra, written by Timo Kiiskinen, Professor of Church Music in Sibelius Academy, Helsinki; organ version of this concerto was premiered on 21 October 2010 at the Organ Hall of Sibelius Academy, and harpsichord version on 19 December 2010 at Pro Puu gallery in Lahti.

In season 10, the vehicle was updated, and the medallion of the cab has been "47J2".

.co.ck has been used as a humorous domain suffix because of its similarity with the English profanity "cock":

- In the British sitcom Nathan Barley, the principal character registers his website, "trashbat", in the Cook Islands simply so that it has the suffix, which he always pronounces "dot cock."[2]
- One of the payloads of the MEMZ trojan causes a user's computer to open satirical Google searches under "Google.co.ck"[3]

i learned dvorak when i got my first kinesis advantage since it was functionally a new layout already and it has firmware support for dvorak so why not go whole hog

that was 15 years ago and it hasn't been noticeably better in terms of wpm or whatever. the keyboard is more comfortable but i think that's a factor of the keyboard itself rather than the key layout

and now i effectively can only type dvorak on kineseses and only qwerty on everything else

Spunky is different compared to most cartoon dogs, who are often more intelligent than their masters. Spunky is far less intelligent than even real dogs. He drools all the time with a vacant expression. One of his humorous actions is drooling into his water dish, mistaking it for more water, and drinking it again, and then repeating this over and over. He also sits limply on his butt, and drags it as he crawls around the house. He is always getting Rocko into crazy situations because of his stupidity. Once, he ended up getting eaten by a big dog (Earl) after carelessly getting thrown out as trash. He also wandered off and was snatched away by a bird at the beach, and once got vacuum packed at the supermarket. Spunky is always safe in the end, thanks to Rocko's utmost care. Rocko appears to have a loving special bond with Spunky. Even though Rocko treats him like a brother, he does what every pet owner does: he plays with Spunky, feeds him, bathes him, and walks him. Rocko never puts him on a leash during a walk. Spunky also sleeps with Rocko in the bed.
