Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession

It's about Jerry Harvey, the brains behind Z Channel-the movie channel for movie fans. The HBO before HBO. One of the first paid cable channels, Z Channel was run obsssively by Harvey, who picked films for their artistic merit, and not for their commercial success. It chronicles how his obsession and love of movies, and the rise of other cable networks eventually drove him over the edge. Already unstable, Harvey wound up killing his wife then himself, in 1988.
