I'm trying to read a mother fucker of a book called The Rhetoric of Fiction by Wayne C. Booth. For those unfamiliar, this is the guy that coined the term "unreliable narrator". I feel like the only way I'm going to get through this is with the help of a Let's Read.

Why do I get the feeling that I'm not supposed to like new sincerity and any work that can be identified as it should be destroyed and its creator executed?

How on earth did I end up with a degree in English comp/rhet yet reading a book on my own volition and free time is the single hardest thing for me to do? I get about a fifth of the way through a book and just stop reading. I deserve to be killed and it drives me loving crazy that I can't read.
