That didn't even last through all of Avatar- by the end of season 3 multi-month breaks were frequent and the whole season took something like a year and a half from premier to finale.

Nick is pretty lovely about consistently scheduling anything that isn't their live action stuff.

I got to leave work early on April 1st and came home just in time to catch Cartoon Network's April Fool's day prank. This year, that entailed dubbing in flatulence noises onto every cartoon they aired. It was really well done, with a wide range of gastrointestinal sounds that were always played to great effect. The crappy Canadian teenager shows (Sixteen and...Stoked?) were mind-blowingly funny with these "enhancements," but in Johnny Test you couldn't even hear the goddamn fart noises because something loud was happening at all times. It seemed like every time anybody finished a sentence, there was a buzzer or an alarm or a general clattering sound effect in the background, and every movement on-screen was coupled with an unnecessary sound effect.

Nearly every time anyone moves at all, it is accompanied by a whip crack sound effect.

Johnny Test is probably the worst non-anime thing on that channel.

I wouldn't have said anything more than my original post had I not been asked. I just choose not to watch it because the design turns me off.

It's pretty creepy that you looked at my post for five minutes. I guess it made you p. mad, bro. Sorry.

Your own avatar has some of the problems you complained about, but whatever (no mouth, geometric features, unrealistic in that a lion can't write, ears are all wrong, that hat must weigh 300 lbs, manes do not look like that, lion bodies do not have heads in that proportion, their eyes are not yellow with tiny dots, their noses are not pink, etc. [see how retardedly spergy that poo poo is about a cartoon?])

I don't get your complains about the show's art design really, and based on your "criticism" of Phineas and Ferb's art design I question whether you even have the capacity to enjoy any cartoon since none of them are realistic, but I don't care to evangelize a kid's cartoon either.

It's your loss and that's all there is to it. That's cool though, we don't all have to like the same stuff.

That is not at all what I was complaining about. I don't expect perfect proportions or scientifically accurate drawings in cartoons obviously. A lot of other people had mentioned not liking the Phineas and Ferb designs before me in this thread but you singled me out for whatever reason so I responded and you apparently read into it exactly what you wanted to hear/believe and not what I said. The designs look really ugly to me and annoying. I'm sure I'm missing out big time though what will I ever do if I don't watch Phineas and Ferb.

I certainly haven't taken notes on the thread or whatever, but you're the only person I've ever seen complain about the art direction on that show. I know you say someone else has complained but I'm not seeing it. I didn't mean to single you out, I just don't understand the hate for the art design. I didn't see anyone else complaining about the art direction in that show. Hell, it's fairly standard in its oddness.

But really, find me a 6 year old or 4 year old or whatever you claim it looks like who can do that and I'll shut up. The guys who made it worked on Rocko's Modern Life and the designs are inspired by Tex Avery. Like I said before, I just don't understand the hate.

The show is cheaply animated, and it really really shows, but the underlying premise is pretty solid in its simplicity and all the episodes I've seen have been well executed and pretty funny. It's not as good as Chowder/Flapjack/P&F or anything though.

This looks like it could be terrible, incredible, or incredibly terrible.

Literally nothing about this is a good idea...

Oh god there's more:

In the movie, an older Timmy is still in the fifth grade and living at home, but all that changes when he begins to have feelings for Tootie (Victorious' Daniella Monet), a nerdy girl who has grown into a beautiful woman and returned to town. Timmy must make a choice between his godparents or growing up and being in love.

Total Drama X is pretty awesome. The first season too, especially, is a straight up parody of Survivor with a dash of other lovely reality shows thrown in. If you actually like Survivor, it's great. Season 2 was I guess a take on Fear Factor and other such shows, which didn't work as well for me, but the characters and knowing the general premise of what the deal was worked. This current season being a parody of The Amazing Race + getting even more meta has been great. I love how they introduced a creepy fangirl obsessed with some minor character.

I know the show isn't for everyone and that the art direction really turns off a lot of people, but it's an excellent parody of reality tv.

I guess my main gripe is that it's poorly animated which defeats the whole purpose of a cartoon. Just look at how squishy and jiggly the characters in Adventure time are compared to the stiffness of TDI/TDA/TDWT/TD__. Granted it's not very fair for me to compare anything to Flapjack and Chowder due to how amazing they are in terms of animation, art, voices, ect.

The animation is not great and I won't defend the art style because at first glance it's crap. Thing is, if you watched Clone High, which you should, the style is clearly one that that animation studio was headed for. Joan of Ark is pretty much entirely reused verbatim as Gwen.

I guess a lot of why I like it is that I do watch the reality shows it satirizes because it seems like none of you really do. That's cool though, for whatever reason they keep making it I'm perfectly happy to keep watching it! It's not terribly deep as a show, but they do manage to switch up how each season goes by using the reality show "people get voted off" thing. Characters that suck one season can be hilarious another just because they stay long enough to be used more effectively.

True (and it's kind of obvious why they did that), but they certainly have a creepy fan in the form of Mandy. And although it may not be the same thing as cyberstalking, iCarly does have a nemesis who tries to sabotage their show (mainly because Carly refused to kiss him).

There's also Neville(?) the creepy stalker nerd who keeps trying to thwart them by hacking their poo poo.

But yeah Sam's mom probably was better left off screen, mostly because Sam's home life being really dark was hilarious. Jane Lynch was great, but the show is getting long in the tooth for such a thin premise.
