Zahi posted:To add to this, the word tailoring fits really nicely because that's exactly what you need to do. Listen to your track without the drums and do what it takes to really get a feel for the shape of it. Your drums right now are a frame for the music and while drums aren't really considered an instrument in the same regards as synths are, they still contribute or take away from the track depending on what you did with them. Thanks you two for the advice. Yeah I guess my drums are boring, I spend more time on them every tune, also guess it isn't enough. Cheers!

Lazee Ft. Neverstore - Hold On (Matrix & Futurebound Terrace Tantrum remix) Suuuch a good remix, I can't believe I missed this until now. God Matrix and futurebound do it every time! Full version of Grafix & Fred V - One of These Days just came out a few weeks ago. This was one of my most anticipated tunes ever since the pandatv fred v and grafix mix played it. The full version is even BETTER than the first version, they changed it alot and god drat this has to be my favorite song in a long time! zeldadude fucked around with this message at 04:30 on Feb 6, 2011 |

Also, everybody listen to the song I posted a few posts ago. Some of the best amazing chill dnb I've heard, with lush chords, amazing vocals and a warm bassline. Was busy last night with work so here's my Producer Favorite 5 for this week: GRAFIX Grafix - Show Me How https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQbs4zgkNCg Absolute sick bass in this song. Probably my favorite Grafix song, never gets old. The sub bass in this song just rattles my car it's so sick.. Grafix - Holding On https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS8q2FR3p1M One of the lesser known tunes by him, but it's a winner. Just plain lovely, anyone who likes grafix but hasn't heard this should take a listen. Those vocals and that piano... Hits the spot. Love the synths too. Grafix - Lack of Motion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-8riZ5SbUM Classic. Lovely delays and synths. Great in every way, I can't imagine there's a Grafix fan who hasn't heard this song. Grafix - I Must Say https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtf-VC7GQv4 nnngghhhhh god grafix is the master of drum loops. Such awesome drums it blows my mind. Probably one of the first songs I'd give to someone starting on listening to Grafix. Drop is loving sick. Grafix - Take Your Time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHj0obbJX9E Punchiest drums I've ever heard. Yet again a ridiculously catchy and addictive tune by the god known as Grafix. Love it love it love it. Some great lists in here! I urge anybody who hasn't listened to any Grafix to give some of the tunes I listed a listen; he's really an amazing producer. edit: I didn't include collabs, I wanted it strictly grafix, even though alot of his best songs are by him and Fred V. Guess I'll save em for next week!

I'm always late to the Friday 5's. Oh well. Here's my 5 favorite collabs, liquid style. Fred V & Grafix - One Of These Days Danny Byrd feat. London Elektricity - Failsafe Indivision & Livewire - Apologies Underworld - Scribble (Co-produced by High Contrast so it counts in my book. Such an awesome uplifting summer song) Phesta & Shock One - The Sun (awwweesome song. Not sure if I prefer the VIP or the original but both are really good, plus the video is kinda cool)

infinity2005 posted:To be honest i think the Logistics album, at least the tracks i've heard, sounds crap.. it's just the standard modern Hospital fare. Cut-up unimaginative vocals, same annoying synths and just completely predictable. We Are One was notable to me as well because i thought it the worst, it's awful.. it's so simplistic melody wise, MORE cut-up vocals as if that isn't done enough already and the synths used sound even worse trying to give it a 90s breakbeat hardcore feel; don't think that poo poo main piano hook would have been popular back in the day. Nonsense. Crystal Skies is incredible as is Over and Out and Sendai Song. You guys are getting seriously harsh on Hospital lately, it's kind of ridiculous. Anything that comes out on Hospital or has even a snippet of female vocal sample in it is instantly poo poo in peoples minds I guess. Just seems a little close-minded to judge an album that has 15 tracks before even listening to it. Not sure how many songs you've heard though. also the rockwell remix of come alive is loving awful. Seriously. Interesting sure but dear god. Culture Shock remix is looking to be the best version so far.
