A friend of mine just quit her call center job. She had stayed there for nearly 2 years. Before quitting, she was this close to having a nervous breakdown. She'd run screaming out of the call center and crying outside the building, with her supervisor having to go calm her down... on a nearly daily basis. It really shocks me how she managed to handle it for so long.
