Nice OP, and I'm not just saying that because I'm in it I know LDD gets ragged on a lot, especially in non-universe mode, but I use it religiously because I have brain problems. That also means I know my way around the program pretty well, so if anyone needs help getting around LDD's more interesting quirks, I'm your man.

Megabloks bricks are in general pretty rubbish, with poor fit and plastic quality, but their minifigures are actually pretty neat. The ones that came with the Halo Wars sets are practically tiny action figures, with ball joints and good posability.

Here's a closer picture so you can see some of the connections: click for flickr The click hinges ratchet naturally in 22.5 degree increments, so you can get a pretty good ring out of them. The big problem (as I discovered in the process) is finding a stable way to connect the structure to anything else, since the design is mostly incompatible with a huge array of connections. I ended up using the arrangement above, which isn't as precise as I'd like, but it theoretically works out.

Captain Scandinaiva posted:I'm thinking about uploading some pics of my creations. I'm wondering what image hosting site would be best for this? Specifically, I'd like a function that reduces the size of images automatically, like Facebook. Does MOCpages do this? Flickr is about your best bet. It reduces image size incrementally so you can have multiple convenient sizes, without the horrible image compression that Facebook applies. Keep in mind that a basic flickr account only allows up to 200 visible images in your gallery (once you hit 200, it starts moving your oldest pictures into an archive that only you can see) and caps maximum image size at 1024 pixels vertically and horizontally. A pro account forgoes these restrictions, naturally, but at the cost of about 25bux a year.
