I got my tax return and splurged on it, thing was $45 in store but $40 online with free shipping. Built it up a bit with the evaporators from the resistance x-wing and sandspeeder and some extra rock pieces to give the bartender area a wall. I like it for a back ground to my falcon/Luke’s speeder/escape pod shelf.

I feel you, new job that completely overwhelms me plus raising my first kid that just turned 2. My favorite family time is me the wife and the kid tear down one of my sets, once they go to sleep I get my “me time” and I put it back together. I can’t wait till my daughter is old enough to build, dump a bucket of parts in front of her and see what she can do

Was wandering Target yesterday and spotted a Mega Construx Blastoise for $17, so figured why not, there’s no SW sets out right now that I really want (that I haven’t bought). It’s my first foray into nonlego. They really have some crazy pieces, but was a fun build, some of the assembly techniques were genius. Only gripe was a few gaps in a few spots, but eh seventeen bucks

Was able to get the new UCS Y-Wing off Amazon for $150, cause the box was beat to poo poo so they called it “renewed”. Halfway thru the build and this thing is loving dense. Loving it.

A lot of the slopes the a-wing had are gone with a lot more studs showing. The rear of the cockpit is pretty much gone, and the fin area just seemed incomplete. With the y-wing same issue, missing the smoothness in the cockpit area and the greebling on the main body seems hackney.
