WARNING, INSENSITIVE RACIAL JOKE if you get offended easily please do not read the following.

I used to listen to Sick and Wrong. It's also a great idea for a podcast, but the hosts are loving idiots. If they were more likeable I'd still be listening to it. It sounds weird, but the belching into the microphone every episode turned me off too.

I do urge people to give it a try though despite my issues. The guys do have chemistry, and if you can gel with that then you got hours of quality programming ahead (They do happen to dig up some hosed up stories). Posting lines from the show isn't a fair reflection on how they're delivered.

Yes I just dismissed and stuck up for a show at the same time.

They stopped burping in to the mics in like episode 50, but yes, Dee is a complete idiot, but Lance is hilarious. I love the show, better then that CDR and Red Bar poo poo.

I actually don't like it. The market is flooded with what is basically weekly talk shows, people doing "edgy" versions of SNL and other ways for people to pimp whatever thing they are releasing soon, it pushes the people who are trying to do shows without a big name attached to them out of the top lists on podcasting networks, removing them from the public eye.

The thing that's starting to get to me about Comedy podcasts is that it feels like there is a limited community of comedians interested in it and you end up hearing them on every podcast.

That's why podcasts with people who aren't semi-famous like The Complete Guide to Everything are so refreshing to me. I love their impromptu style and how they talk about something different every episode. Does anyone have suggestions for podcasts similar to the Complete Guide?

Stuff You Should Know I highly recommend, it's not a comedy podcast but the hosts are really funny. I've never heard The Complete Guide but it sounds similar, twice a week they talk about some random subject, either pop culture, history or some concept. I've been listening to UYD since about 2007, and every year since then I usually go back at the end of the year and listen to all those shows from that year, I just got done listening to 2010s shows and it's awesome because when I'm listening to those episodes, I randomly get flashbacks of poo poo I was doing last year while listening to those episodes.

I also want to recommend Stuff You Should Know again, not a comedy podcast but the hosts are really funny.

edit: I guess I should describe it. Every tuesday and thursday a new episode is released, which is a 30-40 minute rundown of varied topics like "How Castles Work", "How Muppets Work" or "How Reincarnation Works". It's not just two guys talking out their asses about random things, they actually do their homework and usually base them off articles their co-workers at howstuffworks.com have written.

Ah, didn't know the Ross Kids was a gooncast, I'll add it to my list.

Thoughts on the ones recommended to me:

Smartest Man Alive: It's Greg Proops being Greg Proops (awesome). Whats not to love?
Mike and Tom Eat Snacks: I could listen to Michael Ian Black talk about anything, so this is perfect. Tom also sounds like John Stewart.

Lou Reads: I don't understand how someone can say things so disgusting and vile but still remain perfectly sane, charismatic and well spoken.

Caustic Soda: From what I heard I like it, but one guy speaks into the mic and the other guy stands six feet from the mic, hard to listen in a shop where grinders and poo poo are going off all day.

Complete Guide to Everything: Hilarious. Reminds me of UYD if they did it differently.

Superego: The description I read didn't make this out to be some character show.

Also started downloading Walking The Room, and will to the Ross Kids soon.

Most of them, but it's obscenely easy just to fast forward it a couple minutes to the beginning of the actual show. A lot of times when people host things on the internet, it costs money and a lot of times those costs are cancelled out by advertising, either for your live shows or someone else.

Are people really that sensitive to ads on free entertainment It's five minutes of easily skipable ads. How tough is it for you to watch TV? They have like 7 minutes of unskipable ads spread throughout AND you have to pay for it. What about magazines or newspapers? Do you get angry and put it down when you open the page and on the first page is an ad that you can skip, knowing that there will be about 50 other ads?

Then the movie came out. Dead silence. No Smodcast for a month or more.

When it finally comes back it's all Kevin talking about how depressed the poor box office made him and how he'd spent basically weeks in bed high on weed afraid to face the world.

vv Yeah, I had no desire to see the movie, but I thought it was a cool idea.

He said plenty of times it's insane for him to be upset about it. Everyone kept hyping it up to him that this movie was going to do huge.
