How many of the comedy death rays have people doing characters? I listened to 63 and 62 after hearing how many people rave about it, and they were both awesome for the first 30 minutes and then some lame jerk came in doing a dumb character and completely ruined the rest of the show.

Daves of Thunder is not very good but no one's mentioned it yet so I thought I would. They do nothing but shut each other down constantly which they seem to think is cute and endearing but actually makes for a grating listening experience.

I can't seem to find it on my own, so I ask you Doug Loves Movies fans: where can I find the episode where Len Maltin comes on the show?
It's in the archive of shows that aren't linked on the main site, but someone linked on page 1

They were also talking about Hollow Man around the same time, right? I would guess it was about Kevin Bacon, IIRC he had to spend a lot of time bare-rear end naked during the making of that movie... you can even see his invisable penis when he's being sprinkled with water or paint or whatever the hell happened in that movie.

From what Doug Benson said on his forum and the surrounding context I think that she was talking about how creepy Paul Verhoeven (the director of Hollow Man) is and how she didn't want to get naked in front of him?

I find YLNT completely unlistenable just because they play that transition riff incessantly. It's like with Adam Carolla and the smoke alarm, I know it's coming every 3-5 minutes so it's all I can focus on.

He was decent here (the bit about Boogerman and him going after Jimmy Kimmel about the penis injection story was pretty great), but I had to stop listening to his podcast a while ago--the OP is basically every show he does, the guests did't really do it for me, and his whole shtick just gets old fast. (It doesn't help if you dislike his politics). Even the kinda lovely podcasts I listen to (like The Food Network Humor Podcast, for the other three listeners out there) find new, exciting ways to be lovely each week.

Maybe it's that "Ricky" is generally a nickname and it's kind of weird for it to be his legal name? (It did sound pretty horrible.)

She was just saying that when you always hear someone referred to by their first and last name, it's weird to have someone refer to them by only their first name.

Did you happen to save the file? I love trainwrecks and making fun of those guys, so I would love to hear it.

I just found it, very awkward.

Has anyone been listening to the Anytime Show with Dominic Dierkes (from Derick Comedy)? It's not that great, because he's not that great of an interviewer, but it has mostly A-list guests of the comedy podcast world. The format is basically: a couple of minutes of stand up, interview an audience member, interview a semi-famous comedian's character, interview a well-known comedian. I'm not sure how seriously he's taking it because he hasn't updated the feed in several weeks, and he's had on Jonah Ray and Jordan Morris since that, and the feed on anytimeshow.com is broken.

The Little Dum Dum Club is definitely my favorite Earwolf Challenge podcast (other than TCGTE). It's exactly like an Australian version of Stop Podcasting Yourself so if you like that then you'll probably like this.

The problem is that you can't connect to libsyn which hosts all of the shows you can't download. So either its your ISP or libsyn is blocking your IP/IP range for some reason (which seems unlikely).

What happens when you visit each of these links:

http://comedydeathrayradio.libsyn.com/
http://traffic.libsyn.com/comedydeathrayradio/CBB_139_MAIN_ODENKIRK_HUSKEY.mp3
http://libsyn.com/3/alt-index.php

Try running this in the command line and then copy/pasting the result here:
tracert comedydeathrayradio.libsyn.com

(To do this, hit Windows Key + R, type in "cmd", then type that, then right click and hit "Mark", then select the whole thing)

If you're on a home network you should unplug your router and modem for a couple of minutes to reset your connection.
