Jumping in with the Bob Ducca love. I'm glad they waited it out and let the character rest for a while. By the end of the summer Bob was starting to wear out his welcome JUST A LITTLE BIT, but his list was amazing. They never fail to make me lose it, which is only amplified by hearing the other people in the studio trying not to crack up. It's like the only thing that seems to consistently crack Scott up. Throat yogurt.

This weeks "My Brother, My Brother and Me" should definitely be listened to. Warrior Cat Bramblepelt. Earwolf is launching two new podcasts this week, "Who Charted" with Howard Kremer (Dragon Boy Suede) and Kulap (Scott's wife) which is apparently a humorous take on pop culture charts. "Glitter in the Garbage with Drew Droege" is some sort of mashup of improvisational sketches, stories from Drew's life, and character pieces. On top of that, there's going to be a semi-regular podcast called "How Did This Get Made?" with Paul Scheer, where every podcast he takes on something from movies, music, TV, etc., and asks - How did this get made? Yeah guys - That's a new Earwolf podcast Mon-Fri. Holy poop I'm excited. Conrad_Birdie fucked around with this message at 04:21 on Dec 8, 2010 |

So - Mike Schmidt is loving annoying. I do not find him endearing AT ALL. He is simultaneously trying to be the "my life is a wreck" guy and the "I'm so loving cool listen to all my cool stories" guy. He is just not doing it for me. (He's talking with Marc Maron on WTF)

The only other ones I can think of is Plus One, Highlands and Live at Smodcastle, but those are rarely updated and Plus One is just new. Jay and Silent Bob Get Old, Tell-em Steve-Dave, Highlands, and Hollywood Babble-On. I was mistaken. I forgot Daves Of Thunder (Who listens to this?!) was an Adam Corolla one, not a Smodcast one. EDIT: Maybe Tell'em Steve-Dave is very funny, but I CANNOT listen to it, because Walt Flanagan is responsible for some of the worst drawn Batman comics in history (Along with Kevin Smith, who is responsible for some of the worst written). Who Charted is awesome though, although I do hope they play more Dragonboy Suede next time. Yeah, Who Charted was lots of fun. I mean, it's nothing amazing or revolutionary, but it's a solid listen. It'll be killer (ugh why am I using a late 90's frat-boy word?) when they have some kick-rear end guests on, that's for sure.

It was just getting annoying because people had been complaining about that same thing for a good two pages. Speaking of people we're not sure are funny or not: Is anyone still listening to "Glitter in the Garbage". I had like, 6, episodes built up. I listened to episode 5 today and although I laughed, I'm still not sure why I subscribe to the show...My favorite parts of the show are Droege's monologues and his talks with the guests at the end. But, my god, the improv sketches or SOOO hit or miss. I don't know if they do any editing on them, but they're in desperate need of it. There's some legitimately funny stuff in there, but it needs to be done "Superego" style, with only the best lines and moments getting in. Though on episode 5, there was a really funny sketch about a "Scary Sounds" cassette tape. It reminded me of Superego, in the best way. BTW, can you tell I'm excited for the return of Superego? MARCH 1ST, MARK YOUR FUCKIN' CALENDARS, Y'ALL! Also, Mike Detective is such an enjoyable little nugget of comedy. The five or so minutes I spend listening to it a week is so fun.
