Dell_Zincht posted:Oi, there's nothing wrong with Peep Show series 4. Sure it got a bit silly at times, but it is a sitcom. Even though The Inbetweeners strikes a chord with those of us who remember being a bit like that at school, it's not meant to be entirely realistic. Peep Show series 4, for all it's silliness, is entirely redeemed by the line "There are many things I'd do for you, Jeremy, but digging a hole in the wintery earth with my bare hands to bury the corpse of a dog you killed is not one of them." I can't even read it without laughing out loud. I get to "corpse" and crack up. On the topic of Peep Show, Matt King (Superhans) tweeted recently that series 7 starts November 26th.

Hollyoaks is incredible. Warren died in a fire, but actually he didn't, it was someone else's horribly charred body and Warren escaped. And Theresa saw the whole thing. This happened months ago and she just hasn't mentioned it til now. Some blackmail nonsense. Speaking of Theresa, she slept with her cousin Carmel's fiance, and got pregnant. Said fiance also had an affair with Mercedes, Carmel's sister. Then Theresa shot him dead. Carmel is now looking after Theresa's baby. Mercedes's husband died recently, but no one really seems to care all that much. A 12-year-old is pregnant by another 12-year-old. A boy found out that his best mate is actually his half brother because his dad has been living a double life with two families. There's a girl who wants to be a boy. She's going around kissing other boys while dressed as a boy. Dom set fire to his restaurant because Bart told him he'd found kiddy porn on his laptop. Steph, who had terminal cancer, died in the fire (she rescued some kids then refused to come out of the house even though her husband was at the window pleading with her to get out), and Malachy (Mercedes's husband mentioned above) got blown up, or something. Now Dom's in jail. Brendan, the moustache-twirling villain of the piece, has been fooling around with Ste. Now Ste used to date Amy and had a kid with her, but then he smacked her around a bit so that ended. Since then he's been sleeping with lots of girls (including Amy again for a bit). Now he's gay. Not bisexual, as you might think considering his womanising past, he's gay. With Brendan. Who's denying it. Of course. Half the cast got written out a little while back, and they brought in a whole bunch of new people who really can't act. Along with them came these amazing storylines. It's loving batshit. Goddamn highlight of my day.

One of my favourite plots was when Beth cheated on Gilly with Rhys, who was actually her brother. Then she died in a car crash. I also liked when Lydia sabotaged a parachute, meaning to kill Zoe, but instead causing Sarah to fall to her horrible death. That was Hollyoaks Later, though.

LE0N posted:David's mother's body was eventually discovered by his friend Lee. Lee had gone round to the house thinking it would be empty so he could have sex with his friend Stacey Foxx. Stacey sat down on Mrs Burke's body and screamed. Realising what had happened, Lee and his mother Sally convinced Bombhead to move in with the Hunters. After his mother's funeral, Bombhead stopped seeing visions of Mr Cunningham. Lee's back now, you know! And he's probably the best character in it.

I really enjoyed How TV Ruined Your Life, but then I was expecting to! I know it had a dark-haired kid, can't remember if it was a boy or a girl, dying in nasty ways - I remember him/her walking across a beam high up and falling, and digging a hole in sand and having it collapse on him. Wish I could find it I did spent half the afternoon watching 70's public safety videos anyway, like Building Sites Bite and Apaches (which is horrific! The little girl drinking the chemical! )

Quite enjoyed Skins, and I hated series 3 and 4. I'll take Franky over Freddie or Cook or any of those other dickheads from the last lot. I can't even remember the girls (apart from batshit Effy). Hopefully this one will be more like the first two series.
