The one thing i kinda like about Wedensday's comic is that fact that they are really quite clearly TERRIFIED. These characters aren't really heroes, despite all their extra abilities and whatnot.. They're just curious children who want to do the right thing. I know it sounds kinda weird but to me it's more appealing that they are actually crying instead of being all 'Ghosts? Heh. No.'

Let's be honest, solving the mystery of the eternally trapped woman in the river is a tad more important than a high-school crush.

Every single one of them is a robot re-enacting the four years that led up to the mutual destruction of the Woods and the Court. The entire landscape is one giant animatronic memorial and the girl with the white hair in between chapters is the tour guide.

Eh, Coyote's more a force of nature, and we're actually involved in a pretty big epic plot as it is... It just happens to be a lot of tiny threads instead of one big one.

The reason they probably wanted Renard away from Annie despite him being under her control was probably because of this. He literally cannot lie to her and they figured this might happen eventually.

I'm guessing it has something to do with this thing, and someone having to be a human vessel for it. I dunno, kind of a hunch. Sounds less retarded than phoenixes, which uh, you people sort of pulled out of nowhere.

The Surma people of Nepal also believe in hereditary transfer of religious powers, and it also means 'to kill' in Finnish. Consider that with the idea that Surma's birth probably killed her own mother as well.

Reynardine is probably going to have to go into the forest and save her, though. Likely facing the temptation of getting his old body back, choosing between the horde of manipulative assholes and Coyote.

I've noticed this before but god drat did they give Surma one hell of a room at that hospital. It's like they cleared out the Cafeteria and put a bed in there.

Plus I was always kind of :raise: over how Annie managed to live there, exactly.

Eglamore was horribly burned trying to get back across the bridge, the superheated brickwork seared the flesh from most of his body and all of his classes will just consist of pained shrieking while everyone sits around awkwardly for an hour and a half.

Well I doubt Kat got the whole 'we forgot to mention to her that her very existence starved her mother of the energy that sustains all life on this planet, and on top of that she is intertwined genetically with some sort of firey fey creature' story from her Scientist parents who probably go 'Heh. I was gonna say Gunnerkrigg court is at its best when it's small one-off stories about the school and the people in it, like the x-files.

But then I realized I like the main storyline stuff too.

The reason she's so bored all the time may just be because she's literally lived out every single event that's transpired over the course of earth's history countless times before. She looks like she's casually reading off of a script because she's seen how everything's going to play out, and likely sometime in the near future, Coyote or someone is going to send her all the way back to the beginning again.
