Chiming in here just to join the fray even though I don't have much to say. Mostly for bookmarking purposes... I went to film school, mostly took writing courses. I've written two screenplays and an original TV pilot and have placed in competitions before. I still have an interest in writing for television and film but have been writing prose lately.

This is a TV pilot I wrote a while back but haven't touched since. It placed in a few contests, and made semi-finals in another. I never really got any feedback on it, so I'd be interested to see what people think. I'm planning on doing a complete rewrite, or possibly even a complete overhaul, if that's what's needed, and submitting it to some contests this year. Perfectly Frank (PDF)

screenwritersblues posted:I've said it once and I've said it before, John August is not the best place to go to for advice. He suggested in one of his articles that you have to be a Journalism major in order to be a screenwriter. Ummm.... what about the all the people who were at one time accounting, English, communication, or even business majors? I strongly suggest that you avoid John August and start reading scripts instead. Don't forget strippers.

What's with all the "read more at Brainy Quotes" copypasta at the bottom?
