I would like to ask a potentially dumb question: Mother is becoming a scout leader and I'm looking at getting a nice rugged phone for her that'll last a good few days on battery. Been looking at a bunch of rugged phones with big ol' batteries that are made by companies (doogee, ulefone, blackview) that I have very little faith in keeping phones updated and spyware-free. Other than following preset instructions for putting lineageos on my OP7tpro I don't have much experience in the world of messing around with android. I've been reading a bit about Generic System Images and I'm wondering if it'd be easy to slap one on the phone and have the important functions work? I can't seem to find any specific guides or premade roms for most of the phones I'm looking at.
