I feel it closing in,
Day in, day out,
It's been a while since I've been around, and I've been working my rear end off with this whole DJ/Producer thing. Along the way, I've played several shows, got added to a record label that barely pays attention to me, and have produced a ton of music, mainly Dubstep and Drum n Bass. With that here is my soundcloud, with a bunch of tracks I've recently produced.

It's mostly house & techno, with a little bit of industrial which ive been practicing with for a new project. Tends to be on the darker side of things.
Theres 2 new ones which i've not put up yet, i'm waiting to hear back from someone about them. They'll be up in a couple of weeks if it doesnt come through and they're super loving dark.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Just recently started getting into producing music with Ableton. Here is less than a months worth of experience, in three completely different tracks. One is hard hitting electronic/house, the other is chill eastern influenced music, and the newest is improvised glitchy dubstep.

I've been making music for about 4 years now. Most of it is rooted in hi-hop with a strong emphasis on melody, and you'll find traces of house and a lot of orchestral and 8 bit sound.

Great thread! I've been a composer for a while now and just started really getting into EDM. I'm making mixes weekly and continuing to gently caress around in ableton. Still a newb, but I think I have potential!

My latest work is "The Japanese Dinosaur," using samples of the Japanese national anthem and a tiny, wind up dinosaur my friend brought me from Japan.

I look forward to hearing everyone's stuff! This is a great spin-off of the "post your sketches" thread.

If I remember correctly I kept the bass out of the track to place the full focus on the orchestral parts. That whole set is five years old and like everything I do in Live it's pieced together from parts of unfinished or never to be finished songs. So, I'm not going to go back and add a bassline. Thanks for listening and for the compliment though.

My god the sound is lovely, but as any successfull producer will tell you - the idea is the most important thing in a track; and you seem to have that in spades. Take care is a amazing despite the mix, and if you keep this up, I can see you going far.

Yeah I recorded the whole thing in Pro Tools with my Mbox using Kontakt 4. Vocals were with an SM-81 straight through the Mbox. Guess I need gear? Or a nice recording studio!

weeeellll i think its more of a case of developing good routines and knowing how to get and handle the best sounds possible - then how to blend them nicely. You cant really learn this in any other way than doing it over and over, so I cant really answer that. Sum of all parts and all that.,..

Cheers man, thanks for the compliment. Too bad I lost the project file for the Just One Second remix... :( It's one of my favorites and I wasn't anywhere near done with it. I plan on remaking it sometime.

And yeah I'm trying my hardest to improve my sound! Especially my sequencing and mixing.

Seems what is currently on there simply involves demos that I have been creating over the last few weeks, some of the earlier ones got bumped off the other end and the later few are really just ideas I was sharing with some friends, especially the dude I am going to be working with when it comes to properly giving these things a go. So take it is demo sketches, some have formed full songs and such so far, but they're certainly not finalised.

Also, I am not a guitarist, so I consider the fact that I could play it over all of this to be an achievement in itself.

I've been getting into sound design for years via audio programming(ChucK, PureData) and love of various synthesis techniques as well as a bit of field recording. Now I'm working on a workflow for making actual tracks which create and relieve tension or just jam out psychedelically.

So far there's the first draft of the experiment I'm working on now. I look forward to listening to your work! Soundcloud is such a great idea, glad that this thread was posted. Thanks.
