This is great, I'm getting an iPad for christmas and have been looking for information on music apps but none as concise as this

So I think GarageBand has hosed up a song I was working on, and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them.

I was working on it, and then the next time I loaded it up, it had all these weird clipping issues, would only play half of the sounds I recorded (like get halfway through a bass note and then just stop) and threw some things out of time, at first I just thought maybe it was the limitations of the iPad 1 so exported it and it stil has the same problem, the last change I made before this happened was to turn up the reverb a little on the piano tracks and pan them left/right.

Does the android market have anything close to the wealth of music apps that iOS has? I haven't seen a whole lot yet. I just swapped from an iPhone to an android based one, and am wondering whether it's worth holding on to the iPhone for portable music making goodness
