Personally I really like wings3d for 3d printing, since it ensures that the models are manifold.

I don't understand having problems getting prints off textured glass? Don't you just wait until the sheet is room temperature and then pick the item up?

Just backed SexyCyborg/Creality's Kickstarter for their slanted conveyor belt printer. Looks good.
