A Nice Boy posted:Good point, I guess I'm being optimistic. I've received three emails from Amazon in the last couple of weeks...Those "You might want these books!" emails, and all three have had Lamora 3 listed as coming out on Feb 17th. Here's hoping. Supposedly he has not even turned in a final manuscript, so keep hoping:(

Dramatika posted:Welp, I recognized 3 characters out of the excerpt, so apparently I should probably re-read Name of the Wind in the next week or so. I'm pretty sure the only characters from the excerpt that we've seen before are Elodin Kvothe and Fela.

Bizob posted:Holy poo poo, there is alot of very interesting stuff in there. Particularly the very simple interpretation of the lovely song Kvothe's dad wrote. So simple. Yeah, if Rothfuss did that on purpose I'm ready to forgive quite a bit of the creepy sex scenes.

BananaNutkins posted:Maybe we can get Rothfuss to read this thread and his confidence will plunge, his psyche will shatter into a million pieces a la Scott Lynch, and we will never get to read book three, also like Scott Lynch. Don't forget the WoW addiction and divorce and crippling depression. Also, I enjoyed the pirates in RSURS. So there.
