I tried an ostrich burger for the first time: it was tasty I got interviewed at a recruitment agency that added me to their list: it went well and I'm quite optimistic I went on a pub quiz with 6 friends: I won my first ever pub quiz

I started exercising seriously, in order to lose a lot of extra weight I'm carrying around. I'm sore as hell tonight, but it's so worth it when I look at the plan my trainer and I made and realize I can do this.

I overslept today and I was rushing all morning and didn't have time to make a lunch and my fiance got up (he doesn't have to get up as early as me) and said "you look like you're having a rough morning you could use a coffee". And he gave me money for coffee. It made my crappy morning much better.

Usually it's wake up 3 minutes after I'm supposed to be in the car, hurriedly brush my teeth, grab yesterday's pants, a non-ironed shirt wet my hair and fly out the door only to get to work with 10 seconds to spare on the punch in clock. I got up in time to shower, shave, and eat a bowl of Special K with red berries. PLUS I got here 10 minutes early today!

For the first time in years, since I split up with the woman I thought I was going to marry, I have a real girlfriend. She's amazing, smart, beautiful, and the right-hand lawyer to a senator on Capitol Hill. I'm getting ready to take a nice walk on a lovely spring afternoon to buy her a little something to commemorate our 10th date tomorrow night. We spent the day chatting at our respective works via Google about the road trip we're going to take in August to the ocean. I think I'm going to tell her I love her tomorrow.

It seems trite, but the Phillies loving DESTROYED the Mets, 11-0 today. Victories over New York teams around here are especially sweet, but after they took the first game of the series, there was talk out of their locker room of how they "figured the Phillies out" and some such. The Phillies won the next two games buy a combined 21-7 score. Figured them out, eh?

How about my week? Got a tattoo done on Saturday by a good friend/member of the band I'm kinda working with on art and promoting. The tattoo is of their logo, plus their DJ made me a personalized CD of the remixed music they are releasing soon, a t-shirt,, plus a glass coaster made by my tattoo artist, and the tattoo was also recorded for their TV show. Tuesday was my birthday, got to go drinking with some of my best friends, and one of the guys from the band came out to celebrate with me. Got a awesome beer cozy with the logo on it as well! Yesterday I got to hang out with my roommate at the park and drink and just kick it. It's been a while since we've been able to do anything like that, so it was just like the good-old days. Today? I get to relax, enjoy the sun, and go to some art walks going on tonight. Then my big birthday party on Saturday, where a ton of people are going to be here. First party at the new house, so it'll be a blast. Plus, hot guys! This week has been awesome

Finally made it to work on time. There's nothing to do but my boss is loading me up with hours anyway. Me and both of my bosses bullshitted for an hour, then played wiffleball for half an hour before I finally I did a solid two hours of work. Then one of them took me to get a free workout pass from the park district building next door where we played basketball for another 45 minutes. Then I sat around watching TV and amazing them with the Akinator before I went home. Awesome day

Today was an amazing day: Went to the annual Book and Music sale (Put on by the Symphony) and got some kickass records: - Unknown Pleasure by Joy Division - Automatic, Darklands, and the Never Understand single by The Jesus and Mary Chain - Dim the lights, Chill the Ham by Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet - Are you Experienced? and Electric Ladyland (Naked ladies cover) - Hendrix All of 'em original vinyl Then went to class and got my History essay back which I got 90% on, went home and found a letter from the head of the Department of History saying that he and my Professor from last term were impressed with my work and he was inviting me to major or minor in Classical, Medieval and Renaissance Studies. gently caress Yes.

It's 9.20am here and I already have high hopes for today. Drank a bottle of wine last night for 'date night' with the boyfriend (which was also very nice) and woke up without a trace of hangover. Going to spend the day pottering around the apartment drinking tea made in the teapot he got me for Christmas and maybe do a little painting.

I went with my girlfriend to the maternity clinic, and we got to see our little baby for the first time on the screen. Everything checks out fine.
