Why is Yemen on the terrorist dictatorship side when it is currently being genocided by, arguably, a terrorist dictatorship?

Because they're brown and I assume their leader made a statement that was mildly critical of *gestures wildly at everything*

Democracy FC needs to sub out one of their strikers, because they just keep bombing it into the crowd.

that guy clearly thinks that in a game of football each team's strikers spend most of the game up against the other team's strikers

I want to make teams with a player in that position from each country mentioned but I'm not sure who hails from the countries of Isis, Hamas or Hezbollah

Abbas Saad for hezbollah if FIFA will allow him to change from Australia, he only played like 4 games against Fiji.

In terms of the fans of each getting into a scrap, I'd rather be on the side of Terrorist FC, they've got Russia and Turkey

DPRK at left-back in what looks like a 4-4-2 diamond it’s a bold choice. Prone to getting isolated and up against an experienced right-wing of England and Poland.

Goombatta!
Paths (mostly) set for the playoff draw

Path A: Poland, Wales, Estonia

Path B: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel

Path C : Georgia vs. Luxembourg, Greece vs. Kazakhstan

Why does Path A only have 3, Path B 2, and Path C 4? Because three teams need to be sorted to see what team will join Path A, and what two teams are in Path B. That draw will be on Thursday (Thanksgiving US) at 11 am GMT

Part of me wants to quip that if Ukraine gets put in Path B, the Israel v Ukraine game will decide who gets US aid first.

Meanwhile, here are the Pots for the draw (6 groups, each group will have one team from each Pot)

CONFIRMED EURO 2024 DRAW POTS

Pot 1: Germany, Portugal, France, Belgium, Spain, England

Pot 2: Hungary, Turkey, Denmark, Albania, Romania, Austria

Pot 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czechia

Pot 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, Playoff A, Playoff B, Playoff C

Group of death would be: Spain, Turkey, Netherlands, Italy.

Why?

vyelkin
Jan 2, 2011

because how can you pass on the opportunity to share with the world bold stances about the state of world football like “I believe that hosting the men’s World Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2034 raises important questions about human rights and equality. It is crucial for Fifa to consider the impact of its decisions on the global football community and the values it represents. I would advocate for a thorough evaluation of the host country’s commitment to human rights, gender equality, and inclusivity before making a final decision.”

Football, like other areas of society, and AI are going to become increasingly intertwined in many ways. Sogni shows that the technology can be used to challenge power structures in a way that hasn’t been possible before."
