Actually pleasantly surprised by the comments there, but bloody hell what a massively stupid question. Especially considering Duff did pretty well last season, too. It's not like he's massively improved this season. And why would anyone begrudge him for retiring after 100 caps?

It's more worrying that Ireland would still depend on 147 year old Damien Duff.

But yeah, 100 caps, does he really owe his country more?

anyone skimreading that, Taylor in central defence isn't Steven Taylor, who's not terrible and was v.highly rated as a youngster. It's Martin Taylor, best known for crocking Eduardo and generally being unable to cope with attackers who can move both legs in tandem and sometimes at speed

Mail one is actually miles worse though, only Richards and Walcott even made the England squad (with Sinclair the only other decent shout to do so one day)

Amos could be in with a shout. He's only 23, England's keepers are poo poo, etc. He will probably have to leave United to do it though.

Sub 10 and 10.33 are not even in the same stratosphere in track and field to be fair, and there are probably a couple dozen kids in the US that can run in the 10.3-10.5 range.

The US high school 100m record is 10.01.

This is perhaps my favorite thing about the new era of Manchester United. They are already as desperate as everyone else (Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool) to finish fourth just so they can get the much ridiculed Wenger Cup. Six months of David Moyes and fourth place is already a trophy :D

Most United fans know nothing besides success and they don't know how to deal with it and it's brilliant. I'm quite enjoying this as a plastic football fan in a country surrounded by hundreds of thousands of plastic United fans that know nothing else but gloating and smugness.
