Maybe if I spend a few thousand on a gpu and then a few thousand getting a nice monitor and a nice second monitor I’ll finally be able to play those zachtronics games

Any opinions on the HP X27q? Amazon has it on sale for 210. I’m looking for a budget primary monitor to use for 1440 gaming and productivity. If there’s a big improvement I’d be willing to go up to 300 bucks, and I’d be willing to wait for a sale.

From that page:

Lol gonna use this expensive monitor to show off ms paints of Harry Otter kissing all the members of BTS

Possibly silly question. I’ve got a 3080 which it sounds like will struggle to consistently hit good refresh rates with newer games at 4K. Can I just run them at 1440p on a 4K monitor at the same visual fidelity and performance I would see on a 1440p monitor?

I’m theoretically interested in the 4K for productivity and design work but don’t care enough to meet the hardware for 4K high refresh gaming.
