E: Nevermind, I found it. The slot setting was under Armor Addons.

Set it to use Meshes/Armor/CombatRanger/combatranger_go.nif

You'll probably have to extract the mesh from the .bsa with FOMM, though.

Taking a look at the mod's files, myself. No global mesh is a biiiiig oversight.

E: Nope, it does have a global mesh.

A "copyright infringing" mod like that would get shoved onto Fallout Underground, unfortunately. I say unfortunately because the sign up rules for that site are un-loving-real. But ya know what I find most amusing about all that copyright poo poo? The fact that the site just revels in all of those gun mods, which infringes on all the manufacturer's rights, or armor sets that are featured from anime like the Gantz one and a few others. They're nice armors, but they break copyright laws too. I digress though - we could spend ages criticizing Nexus' stupid upload rules.

The only copyright infringing stuff is the direct rips from other games. Of which there is a lot on f3underground. Made from scratch stuff like the Gantz mod infringes on no copyrights unless they try to sell it.

Chinese forum. Part of a mod pack that also had a crossbow from STALKER and a ton of arm-mounted guns.

http://bbs.3dmgame.com/showtopic-1555804.html The rayfile and u.115 links are for the file. The Rayfile link neds their downloader, u.115 requires membership. The bare folders are the weapons, the .bsa's are other stuff you probably won't want.

Well, the good news is that I'm half way done correcting his moronic texture location issues... for. every. single. model. Seriously, shoot me now. The only thing that literally terrifies me is opening up his ESP in GECK only to find out that he actually literally replaced the in-game weapons by simply swapping out their art files or something crazy like that. Because there's a LOT of models here and the thought of adding each and every one of them by hand makes me want to squeeze something fluffy to death.

I know how the texture thing feels. I didn't have to change as many but the .nif files were over 10 MB each. NifSkope slowing to a crawl while New Vegas happily displayed them item sucked balls.

Open the meshes in NifSkope, find the textures they use. Rename new textures to match original textures. Replace original textures with new textures.

If I want to use GECK to edit spelling mistakes in the dialogue in someone's mod what's the process? It's a fairly small mod but the mistakes are annoying me. It seems like when I make the mod the active data file it loads all sorts of stuff completely unrelated so I have no idea where to go digging.

After you load the .esp in the GECK, reopen the .esp loading menu and choose Show/See Details. It pops up a window with everything the .esp adds or changes.

Just a matter of finding the parts after that.

Right click the .esp in FNVEdit and click Clean Masters. It removes master files that the .esp does not actually use anything from.

I don't know about the FNV Master Update thing. I've never used that. But you essentially did this to change the ingredients, but with the GECK? vv

Open the mod in FNVEdit. There should be a Recipe section you can expand. Find the bullet recipe in there, and the ingredients and resulting items will be on the Information window. Just a matter of editting the numbers after that. Copy Misc. Item names from FalloutNV.esm to change ingredients.
