So nobody was repulsed by the king of all psycho therapy's bad-winner attitude? His crowing and belittling of everyone else for not being the paragon of mental health his is made me cringe. I know he tried to play it off like he was joking or just saying it get them to seek help, but he meant it, all of it. What a twisted gently caress. I wish Howard scored worst or second worst, his spiral of denial and self hatred would have been glorious. Instead we get Benji going on and on and on about the test. Though Robin attacking Howard was pretty sweet.

I actually turned over to another station when he went off today. edit: Most of Howard's black impressions sound like Andy and Amos light to me, and I can handle it for a while but after too long it starts to get insulting and I give up on it. Though oddly the old days when they did full on Andy and Amos I found it pretty funny. And Sal's black voices are so over the top they work on a level he never intends. I guess my issue is blatant racism is funny because you can laugh at the person being racist and how dumb their impression is, but Howard's interpretation of how black people talk is more subtly (and in my mind truthfully) prejudiced and therefore offensive to me. I find most of the humor on Stern to be great, even the racially sensitive stuff, but Howard doing his poor dumb friend of the family impression (aka every black impression he does, because all blacks have a southern drawl and don't use 'proper' English) gets annoying. That is all. And I have found that his Oprah's sister bits go on too long. gently caress I don't get offended by much. I love hate man, Gilbert and Yucko for God's sake! scapulataf posted:This reminded me of something from a few years ago. THey played a clip of Imus, who had some guy on his show call up, doing an "I is be black" routine, talking about how he banged Beth O, trashing her and so on. Howard and Beth were upset, rightfully so I guess. But Howard got SO pissed off "they were implying that she has sex with BLACK MEN" A WHITE WOMAN HAVING INTERRACIAL SEX WITH A BLACK MAN. Insert sal apology joke here. And then he has a porn star in the sutdio, "you ever do scenes with black guys?. Yes? Really"!! And don't forget that according to Howard, Fergie must be constantly getting hosed by the other members of the Blackeyed Peas, because BLACK MEN can't not gently caress a white girl if they are around them too much. Regardless of the fact that they are co-workers and professional performers, and that she is married. I think Howard's racism is more insidious because it is derived from his inadequacy over his dick and therefore he fears hugely endowed BLACK MEN and their ability to steal white women because every girl just wants a massive dick up in them and would leave Howard the second they got a hard loving from a black dick.

I love how Howard is incredulous that people think going on his show is bad idea for peoples careers. How many people have been fired or otherwise disciplined just for being on his show, not even having said anything controversial? The hottest girl with the ugliest guy comes to mind. Either he knows and doesn't truly care about his guests, or he is completely delusional about his show being career poison. edit: Also, F-Brett.

Howard going balistic about almost anything is at least passionate. And I too take solice in the fact that no matter how great his life is, on the inside he is numb and he just wishes he could genuinely feel something. Hence why Richard crying always amazes Howard.
