Implanon update, two weeks out: I know the idea of having something literally implanted right under your skin sounds weird and like it will look obvious to anyone who can see the area of insertion. However, from the way things are healing up, I doubt if anyone will be able to notice it with the naked eye! The insertion cut is tiny as can be, any scarring will be less than the size of a pin's head. I also had a fabulous doctor perform the procedure so there has been very minimal bruising. I had it done at the Riverside, CA Planned Parenthood and can't speak highly enough of the place.

I'm going on about five months of continuous bleeding (not spotting, this is like a normal period that just never stops) since starting hormonal birth control, and when I went into PP for my checkup, the doctor said ibuprofen is supposed to help in reducing or stopping the flow, but she didn't tell me how much to take. Does anyone know the recommended dosage? I took 200mg and then 400mg and it didn't seem to work...
